THE ELK
Taking a look at “The Elk” canvas you can notice the reality dissolve, feel the frosty fresh air and your eyes can slowly get used to the moonlight. You experience pure meditation. It takes no concentration, no effort; it's just total peace of mind. Your soul remains in harmony as if you were drinking from the fountain of life.

Along with the peace of mind, the piece gives you a feeling of movement, as if it was a movie scene. You can hear the crackling of the frozen trees, the snow underfoot, the sounds of the sled and the snort of the horse that break the silence of the snowy night forest.

The argument of “The Elk” has been an inspiration to the author and now invites the viewer to relieve the memories, carefully kept for so long, of a very dear and familiar world, embracing the distant past – good, warm and exciting. The emotion of the soul of the artist and the strength of his talent have given us the possibility to reach the essence of life.

Today I’m pleased to present the masterpiece “The Elk” by Sergey Kopilov to the artistic community, art lovers, respected experts and critics.

Year of creation: 2010

This piece will be a real treasure of the most exquisite private collection.

Unmerkbar sinkt man in Meditation hin.

From Irina's memories (my translation)) http://valshan.ru/cntnt/eng/eng-stihi/kvartirnie-vistavki-80h-1.html : "Our Herzi (Germany, from a hereditary dynasty of founders of Herz sausages) fainted there. From a coffee smell from bucket number 2! Ha! Yes. All of them appeared at our place. What attracted them to these artists? Youth? Talent? Their freedom? They appeared in the night. The car was left in a quarter and went "kitchen gardens" to leave from "tail" and .... And always with gifts: products, clothes, books. Valentin spoke fluent English, I tolerably German, - so it seemed to us, of course.

At home we made an exhibitons, so that to them it was cozy! They did not want to leave. Always. Tried, late long after midnight, even when we were already tired, they hardly "came unstuck" - it surprised us and madly pleased. Left with packages of huge paintings, happy.

"You do for a cause of peace more, than your politicians!" - John Bems, the USA. There was thousands exhibitions like this !!! We gained self-confidence, comparable just with flight. For this purpose it was worth being born! And to live! We made people happy! They revealed! They thanked! They bought all pictures! Thin current at the level of recognition. For us disappeared "They" and "We" are (soviets). With love Valentin cooked for them "refined" dishes from our opportunities (USSR)!!! Ice cream, grapefruit, cognac. Vegetable marrows, mushrooms, potato! They ate, and could not stop! "You are beautiful, you are talented!" Love and generosity! Omnipotent power of talent! Also there was still no Internet. Was only: eye to eye. Energy and communication alive.

Heydi Stryomberg (Finland) got goosebumps when she saw of the valshanovsky's maiden - "Frogs" , and hair were reared. Fact! (They are cold Scandinavians!) They helped us with Timo subsequently to carry out a trip to London in 1989, by the way, where we sold 89 paintings in a month, and came to be in a royal quarter on reception at Mrs. Vives, the Brazilian millionaire. Her daughter, Diana, a muse of Valentin, joined us in a Spirit. In Hyde Park! Without the reasons … On a need of the heart – ran and sold with us paintings. Illegally. Hiding in bushes from the London clumsy police. What is it? Destiny?

We lived on the outskirts of London, in the brick house "accordion". Rent by ourselves. Drew at the nights on a floor since there was no a table. 6-7 aquarelles in a night! Once bought some "cone" from Chinese - an exotic fruit. The Valentin very much loved all new. Also ate it in the evening in our lodge. What was then? Morning. Struck memory. We get up: on a floor lie 17!!! excellent aquarelles! He bought cardboard for a passe-partout on the last money. Issued these paintings in a passe-partout and … speed on "Beys Water"!

And there Roz-Mari Gloor! Staying surprised. "Yesterday still there were in Moscow (they are the Swiss diplomats), and you already here, in London!" There was also an unforgettable meeting in the Swiss Embassy of London with our Collectors. Incredibly, but in honor of us with Valentin the table was full of food, and paintings were bought, bought!"

Better to check with art specialists about artist Irina Andryushchenko. She and her husband was really popular in Europe in 80-th and 90-th. At the moment as I informed all her works was sold. Also as I have understood, there are collectors in the different countries from the politics and business owners who was close to USSR in 80th - 90th.
